Video Vault – Tori Amos’ “Carry”

Freshly released today, “Carry” is absolutely beautiful and if you share it via her facebook you’ll get a treat with “Shattered Sea” too. If you can’t wait that long – click below! Night of the Hunters is out 19th September and I for one cannot wait.

Omodaka released his new album today “Sanosa” which you can buy via iTunes and HearJapan. I absolutely love the merger of chiptune and traditional vocal and this is so uniquely beautiful it must be spread love. This is called “Plum Song”

Crystalline is the new video for Bjork and its directed by Mr Gondry. How could it go wrong?!

Video Vault – PJ Harvey

The fourth and probaby final single from Let England Shake is the title track itself. Normally I only do one video vault per week but the Punch and Judy segment in this track is comedy gold.

Time to reveal a new Bjork song from upcoming album Biophilia which is coming out 26/09/11. This track is called Cosmogony and is brassy! The intrumental is the video below but the vocal version can be streamed in full here before it’s iTunes release tomorrow. Can’t wait for the album – enjoy! Awesome video too.

Heapsong2 is released and entitled “Propeller Seeds”. More experimental than Lifeline but equally as beautiful and featuring a great bubble music video, there’s only one Imogen Heap!

Video Vault – Patrick Wolf (Plus free album stream)

Patrick Wolf’s new album Lupercalia is out monday and “House” is the latest single from it. You can firstly view the music video below where his new hair style is in full motion! Definately a more mainstream pop-rock sound this time round it seems.

You can also stream the entire album for free from the Guardian website. I’m holding off until I get the album on monday but a full review will be coming, rest assured!

Video Vault – My Goodness

My Goodness is a new band I’ve stumbled across on the mighty tube. Based in Seattle, home of grunge, this rocking duo sent me right back to the early 90′s with their grunge power riffs and distinct delivery. Time to get moshing – this is their first single “I’ve Got A Notion” complete with awesome video editing. Grab the album here.

The excellent Jordan Reyne has a new album out on 19th of May. Entitled “Songs of a Factory Nation” we expect more eeriely crafted instrurial-darkfolk. The lead song is “Johnny and the Sea” – check out the beautiful video below.

Mia Doi Todd returns with a new album on the 17th of May entitled “Cosmic Ocean Ship”. This is the lead single off the new album entitled “Open Your Heart” and is directed by the excellent Michael Gondry! It’s a much lighter tone to Todd’s music which comes in light a soft breeze so lets see if this is a new direction for the whole album.

I didn’t realise this fantastic band of some of my best school times were back last year?! Here’s Soundgarden’s “Black Rain” which came out in 2010. Welcome back. We need a grunge/metal hybrid reunion. Now, where’s Stone Temple Pilots gone?

Video Vault – Panda Transport

We reported it was happening back last year, now its finally out for release! Panda Transport’s new music video in support of the summer breeze anthem “Saint’s Revel” is here. After what has been a day of utterly awful weather, this song has warmed up my day!  Stay tuned for a second video coming shortly too. Enjoy!
