Sara Curtin arrived in my recommendations based on Sharon Van Etten comparisons but I think that gives Sara a bit of an injustice. Sara’s new music video Summer kicks off the announcement of her second album “Michigan Lilium which is out this Friday. It’s an extremely calm track with the emphasis on holding a certain mood in a vast space. The vocals are sublime and paired with a rubbery guitar that has nothing but warmth dripping from each note, it’s a funny thing to say that it’s so calming it’s also a little dark inside too.
