Larkin Grimm returns with new album

A haunting new track for survivors of abuse

I am a huge fan of Larkin Grimm and her downbeat and expressive folk music. Her voice is utterly unique and she’s back this year with a new album. “Chasing an Illusion” is released digitally on 16th June with the physical copies going out two weeks after and judging from the new single “I Don’t Believe You”, she has brought back the fuller sound from Soul Retriever but the track itself is a dreamy waltz of doom into hazy thoughts of confusion and doubt. The song is dedicated to survivors of sexual abuse and is particularly poignant considering Grimm revealed her alleged rape by her producer whilst working on her album Parplar.

Enjoy “I Don’t Believe You” over on Bandcamp.
