Throughout Spring this year, Dijf Sanders spent his time travelling around Indonesia collecting musical samples from the far corners of the country. The result was a magical collection of unusual instruments, sounds, samples and moods that are then mixed into something with a western beat. All this culminated to create an album called Java which is released today and is sure to be one of the most unique, groovy and otherworldly mash up of cultures you’ll come across all year.
