Artists that release their entire catalogue for free so you can sample their stuff before you buy them have my deep gratitude. FOXTROTT returns with her second of three Meditation EP’s, that will all be bundled for release later on in the year. Her electronica credentials continue to grow as she uses quirky quips and kicks and so really funky bass line grooves too. I’m exceptionally picky with my low-fi techno producers but there’s something here that just clicks with me – probably because its a bit weird and maniacal. The fact she’s signed to One Little Indian speaks volumes.
I’ve placed the playlist for Meditations II below which contains the excellent Better With You, the soulful Melting Words and the glitchy weirdness of For As Long – but if you like what you hear please do support her as the release is out for purchase too – and as you’ll hear its pretty fabulous.
