Higher Plain Music Roadmap for 2019

What's coming in 2019?

2018 has been a great year for Higher Plain Music. It’s redesign and my commitment to posting something near nearly every day of the year has seen a 25% increase in web traffic and those visitors read more articles than ever before. Thank you for letting Higher Plain Music be part of your online life – I really appreciate it.

For 2019 much will stay the same. I’ll continue to post daily where possible a mixture of music reviews, introductions to new artists or artists I hadn’t discovered before and noteworthy news as before. I also plan to do more interviews in 2019 and they will either be text or audio based. With the paid upgrade for the site, it also allows me to do some interactive content so I’ll be dipping my toe into quizzes and things like that too.

The big challenge for me in 2019 will be launching Higher Plain Music FM – the online radio station. I couldn’t get it together in 2018 due to various issues and time constraints. The two UK radio licences are being combined but whilst that takes place, its quite difficult to apply for a new licence altogether because its now phone only during work hours. Where I want to showcase a variety of unsigned talent too, it’s an absolute legal nightmare for copyright issues. I may have bitten off more than I can chew but I’m determined to do and do it right. For that reason it’ll be something I’ll focus on in the second half of 2019 as in the first half I’m finishing off making my own album and improving some of the other websites (Higher Plain Games and I Love Disaster Movies).

I can’t wait to entertain you all in 2019 – have a fantastic new year.

Simon
