Hong Kong born and London raised Allman Brown returns after his 2017 debut album with a new single ahead of second album. The single ‘Lonely Hearts, Los Angeles’ starts off gentle and hushed before building up to a cinematic finale. His version of singer/songwriter folk reminds me of Alex Wong (A City in a Lake). There is a gentleness to the voice but there’s plenty of clever songwriting tricky going on underneath to add the drama.
‘Lonely Hearts, Los Angeles’ is taken from the forthcoming album ‘Darling, It’ll Be Alright’ which is due out on the 10th of May. The single is out now.
