Introducing… Jonathan Hultén

Mystical folk with a quirky dark twist

Dark folk singer-songwriter Jonathan Hultén has absolutely wowed me with his new single ‘The Mountain’. Whilst the song never strays from the acoustic guitar and his voice, it mixes Jonathans voice in a way that layers him like a choir. It’s not quite Imogen Heap’s ‘Hide and Seek’ – it is more like an ethereal barbershop quartet.

The music is paired with a brilliant music video. It runs like an old temple wall scroll telling a story as the song plays. It evokes the game Journey. ‘The Mountain’ is taken from Jonathan Hultén’s debut album ‘Chants From Another Place’. The album is due out 13th March and I urge you to let the single immerse you below.
