Indo-Canadian rock star Bif Naked is back over a decade after her last album. I discovered Bif Naked through my school best friends’ obsession with Buff the Vampire Slayer and its soundtrack in the late 90s. Now, 10 years after her last album, she has returned with new single ‘Jim’ and forthcoming album ‘Champion’.
‘Jim’ is a song about loss, disillusionment and triumph over pain. The chorus is an absolute riot as it switches from power rock chords to a kaleidoscope of electronica showers. It is powerful, anthemic and empowering. I can’t get it out of my head and now I am really excited for the album coming later this year. ‘Jim’ is out now and you can listen below and Bif Naked is on tour in Ontario through until March.
