Introducing… Oceanator

Skittish power pop anthems to rock into oblivion with,

Oceanator is the moniker for Elise Okusami. She is a fierce multi-instrumentalist who creates power-pop anthems that are often a bit messy and unhinged in the best way possible. I became a fan last year when I stumbled across her 2018 EP ‘Lows’ which is a tour de force of emotions. Now she has returned with ‘Heartbeat’, a similarly manic explosion of energy about a crush.

‘Heartbeat’ is the leading single from Oceanator’s forthcoming album ‘Things I Never Said’. The single is out on the 28th of August but you’ll need to wait until the 9th of October for the album. The album expands on the concept of overthinking and replaying scenes over in your head. According to Elise, it is also about finding comfort in the face of destruction – be that mental or physical. Enjoy ‘Heartbeat’ below.
