Introducing… Adna

Hazy fragility.

Swedish born and Berlin based singer songwriter Adna released her debut album ‘Closure’ back in 2017. She returned this month with ‘November’, her new slice of melancholia music with her uniquely stressed vocal delivery. Adna has a voice that sounds like she is either going to cry or scream at any moment but is teetering. The Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordian reminded me of this soft harshness too and Adna is similar in style. Her music is much more hazy and relaxed though. Noodling guitars, shuffling drums and washes of synths paint the sadness.

‘November’ is the new single and although no release date has been announced, Adna says a new album is coming at some point in 2021. Why not November? The song itself is about accepting love and how that can be difficult sometimes. I agree full heartedly. Enjoy the music video below – the singles out now.
