Love Crumbs certainly nailed their band name perfectly as it conjures up all kinds of thoughts and emotions. The trio from Massachusetts are a folk-rock and Americana band who like to wear their hearts on their sleeves. The result is a mix of rousing, driving beats and energy focused on catchy hooks and emotional tailspins. What made my ears perk up personally was how weathered and grounded the instrumentation felt. From the guitars to the drums, pianos and vocals – there is a gritty determination and gravel hiding to make each lyric count. I also really like the fact their single artwork contains a mosaic face in the shape of the song’s waveform.
2020 saw Love Crumbs regroup after a ten year hiatus! ‘Ellipses’ is their new single which is out now. When speaking about the track Love Crumbs said “I had a relationship that ended kind of suddenly, and I kind of didn’t know why. It was a meaningful relationship to me. The person was typing to me (as evidenced by the “…”) but I never got to hear their response.” Enjoy Love Crumbs’ musical response below. Hopefully an EP or LP is to follow later this year.
