Introducing… The Black Fever

Post punk angst of the younger generations.

Toronto based post-punk band The Black Fever wear some of their influences proudly on their sleeves. Think Joy Division and Interpol and you’ll be in the right ballpark. The Black Fever is made of up Shoe ( vocals, guitar), Pat (bass, bv’s) and Dan (drums) and they want to make rock that gives the bass the lead melodically. That means the guitars are more atmospheric hazes rather than pure riffs. I really like their style and they’ve released three albums since 2011.

The Black Fever popped onto my eardar with ‘Nowhere’, their latest single. It sings of the general frustration of people in their teens to 40’s not being able to live their best lives – be that emotionally, financially politically or socially. It came out earlier this month and along with their earlier single ‘Pass On’, will hopefully start to form album number 4.

Enjoy ‘Nowhere’ below. Find out more about The Black Fever by visiting their website.
