Regular readers will know I like a cross over of genres and cultures and Lánre is no exception! The British singer/songwriter spent her childhood in Nigeria where she discovered her love of singing and the guitar. Fast forward to present day and after an album and an EP, she’s meshing her Yoruba heritage with her folk guitar playing and it’s a deep and enriching smile that she brings. Her voice is powerful and has great depth and when her new EP Human is released next week, I’ll be interested to see how the styles mix.
