Jóhann Jóhannsson returns with his first solo work in 6 years after some amazing film soundtracks and his understated style in”Flight From the City” has a suitably simple but effective music video too. I love the warmth the piano has and the tiniest glitches that are hiding underneath like static hairs on the back of your neck.
His album Orphée is due on the 16th September and will have a varied palette of acoustic and electronic instruments – and having loved his recent soundtrack work on “The Theory of Everything” I expect this to be an emotional journey.
