Hannah Peel released a fantastic album “Awake, But Always Dreaming” last year and was one of my top albums of 2016. In a complete about turn, her new album is a seven movement suite that evokes, for me, 2001 Space Odyssey.
The album itself will be played by a synth orchestra and the 29 piece Collary Brass Band. Peel’s vocals add an ethereal layer to everything and the preview track “Sunrise Through the Dusty Nebula” is a slow brooding soar, which you can hear below. The album, entitled “Mary Casio, Journey to Cassiopeia” is out September 8th.
