Introducing… Niklas Paschburg

Classical pianist Niklas Paschburg releases his debut album next month. “Oceanic” falls firmly into the so-called Neo-Classical genre which is currently being championed by composers like Olafur Arnalds and Hauschka, both of whom we’ve covered on the site. The lead single is “Sand Whirling” and it’s a beautiful rising piano piece that picks up pace and momentum over its course. It’s a simple melody but with its clinical glass like string background, it sounds perfect for an emotional montage in an indie film.
