I love it when someone is inventive with song structures, volume, pacing and tonal shifts – and those are great things to play with when you are a pianist and composer. Tobias Svensson is releasing his debut EP in two months time on a new music label called “sounds fragil” The lead track from the EP “Vagrant” has a hypnotic melody of piano and zither that slowly grows in size and volume until the final 90 seconds of musical bliss. This is the kind of contemporary classical I love and it makes me very excited for what else is on Tobias’ EP.
