Sweden is usually known for their pop anthems but Birthday Girl are making sure Sweden has a new force in the rock world. Their rock is heavy, grungy, distorted and full of sludge. On the flipside of the angsty guitars, the actual melodies of the vocals are often quite gentle and serene melodically… even if the odd holler and scream seeps out.
Their new single ‘I Came Here To Eat’ showcases everything Birthday Girl is about. It came out last week and you can enjoy it in full below. They have a European tour coming up in the summer too. I definitely approve.
