Based in Berlin, composer Ben Lukas Boysen has been busy creating his new album ‘Mirage’. It is due out on the 1st of May. The album mixes together contemporary classical music with lush dynamic sci-fi atmospherics. Ben has also enlisted plenty of special guests including Anne Muller (cello), Lisa Morgenstern (voice) and Daniel Thorne (saxophone).
The lead single is ‘Clarion’. It starts off with a piano trickle that seems to mutate into an epic percussive kaleidoscope of orchestrations and synths. It feels like a musical journey and by all accounts, the album is designed to feel like one. Ben Lukas Boysen also said that the idea of ‘Mirage’ is to hide the human touch from music computer programming so you don’t know where one ends and the other begins. Enjoy the single below.
