Introducing… Monowhales

Canadian rockers taking the charts by storm.

Monowhales have been around for a couple of years, building up a growing following, especially in their Canadian homeland. Their marriage of alt-rock anthems and rowdy indie pop makes them a potent force. The trio are heavy enough to satisfy your rock needs but catchy enough to get stuck in your head without becoming annoying. It is a balance not many bands get right but Monowhales do just that. One of their singles ‘RWLYD’ reached number 2 in the Mediabase Canadian Alt Rock Charts. This made history as no other independent self-managed band had ever managed this before. Wowzer.

Their new single ‘Out With The Old’ was released earlier this year but whilst I was down and out with the ‘rona. It is too good not to share though so, better late than never, here is the anthemic salute to the disenfranchised. Now I have the energy to enjoy it, it is a classic for the ages. It is on Monowhales new album ‘Daytona Bleach’ which came out last week. It is crammed full of more high energy rock anthems to party to. Socially distanced of course… I’m planning to pick the album up next month for review later in the year as this deserves some summer loving.

Enjoy ‘Out With The Old’ below.
