I think the last year of playing VR rhythm action games (Beat Saber, Audica and OhShape I’m looking at you) may have changed my opinion of bass music. It wasn’t a genre I listened to but there is a lot of creativity in knowing how to make a great bass drop. Add in some hyper vocal distortion, huge drums and a lot of chaos and you have a winner. SNAILS has been doing this extremely well for the last few years and released his latest EP ‘SLIME TIME’ earlier this month. No TMNT’s were harmed.
To celebrate the EP release, SNAILS has released a horror movie styled music video for ‘FROGKIND’. It showcases all the intense drama, sound, drive and emotion of the track whilst having a lot of liquid effects and neon skeletons. Deadmau5 on acid anyone? It is an utter trip, really well put together and now makes me want a SNAILS Beat Saber pack. Please. Pretty please?
Enjoy the nuts music video for ‘FROGKIND’ below, it is SNAILS’ first.
