French pianist and composer Vanessa Wagner is spending her new album exploring the minimalist approach. Her forthcoming album “Study of the Invisible” will see Vanessa take on 15 tracks from a variety of artists that work with minimalistic music palettes. Vanessa will interpret composers like Philip Glass, Brian Eno, Melanie Daibert and Nico Mulhy, often choosing some of their lesser-known works. For her new single and music video, she takes on Ezio Bosso’s “Before 6” which is beautifully understated and a welcome tribute after Ezio’s passing in 2020.
Enjoy the beautiful track “Before 6” below, which is out now. It has an intimate sound due to the close microphone recording and is one of those songs that you come back to without realising as it burrows deeper in your ear.
