Korean-American musician Miss Grit returns with a new single “Like You”. The indie pop/rock hybrid musician straddles pop sensibilities with a rock edge and a bit of synthwave thrown in around the edges. If I did a lazy merger it’d be a splash of St Vincent and Royksopp simmering in a pan of self-exploration. Miss Grit, is the performance name for Margaret Sohn who created the persona to pour all of their inner voices and wrestling into. This comes out in the lyrics and ideas that each song wrestles with over their previous two EPs. Now signed to Mute records, Miss Grit I’m sure will be working on new material for a future release.
Enjoy the lyric video for “Like You” below, the single is out now. Miss Grit is also on tour towards the end of October in Paris, Antwerp, Amsterdam and London. You can find out all about those dates and much more on Miss Grit’s website.
