Björk to narrate Fungi: Web of Life – coming January ’24

The Björk narrated nature documentary about fungi has been given a release date of January 2024. The documentary. presented by Merlin Sheldrake. will feature narration from Björk and some stunning fungi photography. The trailer itself looks beautiful with its time-lapse photography, sweeping landscapes and microcosmic look inside a world we know little about. I’ll be looking forward to its home release afterwards (hopefully).

Björk has said that narrating a nature documentary is something of a dormant dream for her. This continues her entwined path with nature which includes not just her fungi-driven recent album Fossora, but having Sir David Attenborough narrating sections of Biophilia and being part of her live show. Her Icelandic roots are steeped in rich and dramatic landscapes and are also part of her core values and being. It also follows her recent duet with rosalia ‘Oral’, about open pen farm fishing.
