The last week has been a great time for bands releasing full half-hour live sets on YouTube for fans to lap up. Daughter is the latest band to release a free-to-watch concert in celebration of their latest album. ‘Stereo Mind Game’ is an excellent album that I’ve got in my backlog to review. It delivers Daughter’s trademark overwhelming despair through numb vocal delivery and ratcheting alt-rock anthems. Live at Middle Farm Studios takes seven tracks from the album and recreates them in a live setting. The set isn’t currently available to buy as an audio recording and the full set has lots of tape effects between songs as the video rewinds and skips about a bit to break the songs up.
It’s a really charming and beautifully presented live recording. Enjoy it in full below.
