Introducing… Edward Cross

Sentimental cinematic modern classical composer Edward Cross unleashes his hopeful romantic side with his latest single. ‘The Feelings Mutual’ follows the arc of a conversation- moving from quiet uncertainty, through unfolding warmth, comfort, and assurance, into pure unfiltered joy. Starting with tentative piano, Edward also weaves in the clarinet and trombone, cello and violin for its triumphant cartwheeling finale.

As if written for a cinematic short story, the music video is adorably sweet. It follows the first kiss between two teenagers and the joy of having feelings reciprocated. ‘The Feeling’s Mutual’ is the second single from Edward Cross’s forthcoming EP ‘When the Dust Settles’. The EP is due out later this year.

If you enjoy modern classical music, often piano-forward, then I recommend exploring Edward Cross and his back catalogue. There are some excellent live performances on YouTube, and the London-based composer has plenty of information on Edward Cross’ website about both his music and his music teaching skills.
