There are no icebreakers or creeping death here! Linda From Work is a Seattle garage rock band that embodies a nonchalant whateverness that matches the garage rock setting. The quartet have a self-titled album coming out on 17th October 2025, four years on from their last album. Part of the band’s development during that time has been to refine their sound. Linda From Work want to be angry, but they also want to poke fun, and that’s a tricky balance to get right.
Their new single is called ‘Seeing Red’ and it’s inspired by feminine rage and revenge horror movies like Jennifer’s Body and Carrie. The song is about taking back power and turning the tables. Hell knows no fury more fierce than a woman scorned, so that’s the vibe here. Musically, the song has multiple mini-hooks that it flits between, and then a sped-up finale as if we’re reaching boiling point to unleash ourselves on the world. If you are a fan of Veruca Salt, you’ll be right at home.
