Manu Delago and Max ZT create the ultimate tuned-percussion tag-team with newly announced album ‘Deuce’

Hammered dulcimer and handpans unite for a symphony of pitter-patter tones

Ticking all my tuned percussion boxes in one perfect-sounding package, Manu Delago (handpan) and Max ZT (hammered dulcimer) are combining forces to release their new album ‘Deuce’. The nine track album will be released on 20th February 2026. Both composers and artists have successful solo and band careers and are renowned for the mastery of their signature instruments. The duo will tour Europe from March to May next year to support the album.

‘Inhale’ is the lead single and the centre point of the album. It is fast, flowing, rhythmic, and uplifting, showcasing the levity and airy quality that a hammered dulcimer and handpan can provide. The instruments interweave across and throughout each other, both supporting each other in symbiosis, with neither dominating nor taking centre stage. It’s a blissful listen and a lovely way to take in the final day of 2025.

The album was recorded in Bernardisaal, Stams in Austria, inside a 13th-century monastery. The live performance that promotes the single was also filmed there, providing an intimate echo chamber for the instruments to sing.

Manu Delago and Max ZT’s album ‘Deuce’ is available to pre-order now. Tour tickets are available at Manu Delago‘s and Max ZT‘s websites.
