At the beginning of Anna’s single “Weightless”, if I’d closed my eyes and not watched the music video, I could have sworn the singing was done by PJ Harvey. Certainly on the lower registers, the two are kindred spirits. Anna’s music is similar, with grooves and guitar riffs smashing their way into your mind. It took me a couple of listens to really appreciate the simple directness of the track. Anna has also recently been signed as part of the band Love Nor Money, so expect some new stuff there too.
