Slow motion dancing and freeze frames of bodies in motion are the order of the day with Matt Emery’s lovely video for his titular track “Empire” from his recently released album. Fluttering pianos, aching strings and the kind of arrangements that have recently been left to Icelandic composers like Olafur Arnalds. We will be reviewing the album in the near future, but this single is captivatingly simple.
