Lowpines is the name for British singer-songwriter Oli Deakin and his music sits firmly in the haunting folk rock genre. From the acoustic guitar base to the long drawn out sighs of the singing and the whispery backing vocals, Lowpines is melodic, lulling and low key miserable – in a good way of course. His early recordings before his first album, due out next month, came from layering himself over and over with lots of reverb and you can hear that trait in his music now. However, new single “Broken Wing” is an evolution towards a fuller sound.
Enjoy “Broken Wing” below, Lowpines’ album “In Silver Haides” is out 23rd February.
