Cello players who take on symphonic pop are few and far between but Abi Wade is stepping up to the gauntlet with her take on genre blending. Her upcoming album “Beautifully Astray” mashes up classical arrangements, folk sensibilities and electronica elements into something of a sonic missile. Her single for the upcoming album “A Bit Like Love” is a brooding build of instruments that explodes into a beautiful flourish and Abi’s voice shines on it too.
