Rhythmic electro-rock is how I’d describe Gum Takes Tooth and their second single ‘Borrows Lies’. The London based duo are quite unclassifiable though as they tackle drums, vocals and percussion produced electronic synth sounds to make their sound utterly unique. That means every sound is literally being smashed into existence and with this single, every noise feels aggressive, heavy and weighty. It has melody but its abstract, the vocals are like a grungy moaning rock band – but it all forms together like a visceral attack on you and I love it!
