Melodic alt-rockers Para Lia grabbed me by the short and curlies with their new single ‘Hawk Hill’. The German duo that makes up Para Lia are René and Cindy – with both providing vocals to make a male/female duality. They remind me a little of Interpol in how they are melodic with their guitars but a little 80’s darkwave with their vocals and synth backgrounds.
The single ‘Hawk Hill’ is an extension from Para Lia’s new album ‘Soap Bubble Dreams’ which came out in March. I’ll be reviewing the album later in the year, but ‘Hawk Hill’ itself is coming out as a standalone single with two b-sides on the 14th of June. Enjoy the single below.
