I love discovering something that is really difficult to pigeon hole into a specific genre or taste. Miss Red’s latest single ‘Loco’ from her forthcoming EP ‘The Four Bodies’ is just that. Think drone synths, mixed with Gazelle Twin paranoia with Reggaeton beats and vocals. ‘Loco’ is aggressive, angry, pointed and uncompromising.
Miss Red’s debut LP ‘KO’ is of similar ilk, pushing really hyper knife edge bass and synths alongside her Reggaeton vocals and beats. It took me by surprise and then lit my ears up. It’s not my usual style but that’s why I enjoy music that smashes ideas together to create new sound. Enjoy ‘Loco’ below. Miss Red’s EP is out on the 31st of May.
