With Mental Health Awareness Day taking place last week, discovering Michael Baker and his latest single ‘Baby Books’ couldn’t have been more timely. Michael wrote the track after a friend of his lost their battle with mental illness. The message across the folk-pop anthem is strong. Speak to someone. An ear or a shoulder can help you out. It’s a poignant and emotional track that’s made all the more emotive through Baker’s excellent musical craftsmanship.
‘Baby Books’ is the third single from his forthcoming album ‘Salt’. It sounds like it is going to be a cracker when its ready. In the meantime enjoy the single below and if you feel like your struggling, talk to someone. Music can help too.
