Introducing… Disassembler

Capturing a wave in slow but grande motion

Disassembler is formed of This Will Destroy You founding member Christopher Royal King and electro-acoustic composer, violinist and software engineer Christopher Tignor. The two already play in the ambient, sound design and classical circles and their debut track ‘A Wave From a Shore’ captures bits of all their sound together. The piece feels both synth clad and orchestral as strings bustle up like seafoam against the ambient pads. Then as the base of the track changes, Dissembler captures the wave rising and falling in slow dramatic fashion. Sci-Fi soundtrack lovers will enjoy this one too.

Disassembler are working on their debut album which is currently scheduled for a 2021 release. In true DIY fashion, the pair are releasing it on their own platform called Light Lodge. With a stunning entrance with a track like this, I am very curious to see what the duo bring in the future. Enjoy ‘A Wave From A Shore’ below.
