Bring me a brooding, rumble of a creepy rock song and make it drip with atmosphere and I’m in heaven. This is exactly how I’d describe ‘Evening Train’ – the new single from Lucy Kruger and The Lost Boys. Everything feels pensive and on edge. Lucy Kruger often writes introspective music and whilst that continues, her forthcoming album ‘Transit Tapes’ marks a change. It is the first time she’s worked with other musicians. Drummer Martin Perret, guitarist Liú Mottes and bassist Andreas Miranda form The Lost Boys. Having them alongside Lucy has made her sound a little more rocky compared to the dark folk 2019 album Lucy Kruger released titled ‘Sleeping Tapes for Some Girls’.
Upon speaking of her upcoming album, Lucy said that it continued themes of her previous work but is about the next stage of self-discovery. as if you are taking a leap to the next room of life. ‘Transit Tapes’ is currently slated for release on the 2nd of June. Pre-orders are now open. Enjoy the fantastic single ‘Evening Train’ below. I’m on board for this one!
