Berlin based singer-songwriter ARDEN brings her harp and her voice to your speakers in a magical way. Her new single ‘Eden’ is a river of harp plucks and soothing vocals that cascade like tiny string ensembles. It is deceptively complex and beautifully layered. ARDEN is the name of Marie Arden and some of you may know her from MarieMarie when her music was more alt-pop focused. Now comfortable with her harp, this is a very different sound but no less powerful or evocative.
‘Eden’ is the latest single from ARDEN’s forthcoming self-titled debut album which is currently slated for release in August. I’m getting Hania Rani and Agnes Obel vibes but with a harp instead of a piano. That can be no bad thing at all as the harp can make all kinds of amazing sounds. Enjoy the single below.
