Bringing in ethereal shoegaze rock is AMMO. Releasing her debut two track single ‘Rose + Crown’, AMMO takes the verbal soup that Elizabeth Fraser would bring to Cocteau Twins and adds it to something you’d hear Chelsea Wolfe or Emma Ruth Rundle make. As a result, her debut track sounds like a true balance of power and grace. It is also gothically creepy and otherworldly too.
I’m a real fan of AMMO’s sound. The b-side ‘Total Recall’ is more goth-rock and channels into that Wolfe/Rundle style more. The single is out now but you can enjoy the music video for ‘Rose + Crown’ below. For more information about AMMO, you can visit her website.
