Pianist, composer and singer-songwriter Hania Rani recently to the Cercle stage to perform a unique concert which was broadcast online last month. Traditionally, Hania Rani’s music is entrenched in chamber music melodies and modern classical piano and string arrangements. Here, she wields various keyboards, synths and pianos as well as having a string and band accompaniment. For someone that has only experienced Hania’s music as it’s been released, this “plugged” version of her music is an absolute transformation. It’s as if she has given modern classical music a stadium anthem-styled electric current.
Part of the Cercle experience is that an artist remixes a track from the Cercle archives so alongside band versions of album favourites and unreleased extras, there’s a new remix track to enjoy live too. It is a magical concert and deserves a lot of love. Cercle repeatedly put out some absolutely stunning concert recordings in beautiful locations and the YouTube channel is well worth a subscribe too.
