Karin Park is bringing it back to basics with her forthcoming album “Private Collection”. Taking nine of Karin’s favourite songs from her 20-year career of songwriting, Karin has rearranged them for voice and pump organ. Stripping things right back to a simple gothic arrangement means that melody and voice are paramount. Karin Park’s mezzo-soprano voice is always captivating in all of its guises. Effortlessly shifting from dark to light, brooding to angelic, Park will take you on a ride.
Lead single for the project “Opium” is out now, whilst “Private Collection” is available for pre-order. The album releases on the 7th of October. To celebrate, a live performance of the single is also available where Karin performs the track on piano. It is a different instrument and a more intimate vibe but equally as captivating. Enjoy the live performance below.
