Caroline Rose releases short film to support her album ‘The Art of Forgetting’

Caroline Rose released the excellent ‘The Art of Forgetting’ last year. It is a raw, gritty alt-rock album that charts their continuous move from a more mainstream rock sound to a rowdier edgier one. I haven’t reviewed it yet, but it is great – go buy it. Caroline created a series of music videos to accompany the album that piece together as a short film. They weave together a story of Caroline navigating through a transformative heartbreak. It is somewhat biographical.

Directed by Samuel Aaron Bennett, ‘The Art of Forgetting’ attempts to capture an old Hollywood-esque feel through continuous shots telling a discontinuous narrative. Maybe through transformative love, you can learn to love yourself a bit better too. Enjoy the short film below. You can listen to or buy the full album over on Caroline Rose’s Bandcamp page.
