Tunng to celebrate 20 years of music with new album

Folktronica wouldn’t be quite what it is today in the UK without Tunng. Next year, the troupe will celebrate 20 years of their unique style of Pagan Folktronica with a new album, ‘Love You All Over Again’, which will be their eighth LP.

Tunng’s latest album will continue the trend of exploring the human condition through warm acoustic folk, fractured beats and unusual electronics. On the lead single ‘Didn’t Know Why’ we are transported to a textured adult nursery rhyme. It sounds jaunty, breezy and like a lazy afternoon in the sun but the lyrics are far darker and disquieting. One of Tunng’s founders Mike Lindsay said he spent time listening to their first two albums and the music that initially inspired their sound. He wanted to remember what it was like to fuse genres of music again. In many ways, Tunng has returned to its roots like the circle of life.
