Tori Amos announces childrens book ‘Tori and the Muses’ alongside feature length interview with Rick Beato

Today is a great day to celebrate all things Tori Amos. Firstly, Tori announced she has written her first children’s book. Titled ‘Tori and the Muses’, it celebrates a young Tori exploring music as a way to be creative. Her father forces her to rehearse for her recital, but this isn’t the music Tori wants to play. Tapping into her creative juices, Tori discovers her fairy godmother-like Muses who help her find new ways to be inspired in the world. The book is an ode to creativity and embracing that both as a child and an adult.

‘Tori and the Muses’ will feature illustrations by Demelsa Haughton and be pitched at a reading age of 4-8 years old. You can pre-order it on Amazon; it is due for release on 4th March 2025.

Alongside this, Rick Beato has been teasing snippets of a large Tori Amos interview, which has also been released today. The 90-minute interview lets Tori talk about her unique approach to songwriting, where her inspirations come from and what inspires her to keep making music. We rarely get such an in-depth discussion like this – it’s premium podcast plus material. Enjoy the excellent interview below and hats off to Rick Beato who provided a great set-up and structure to the piece.
