Live Vault – Yemanjo

If you are looking for Ethno-house music to party into the night like a free spirit then Yemanjo has a treat for you. Ben Harris, the multi-instrumentalist behind the stage name Yemanjo, travelled to Florianopolis, Brazil to perform at sunrise in the Dunes. Between jaunty brass arrangements, sampled hand percussion, big beats and various samples Yemanjo is half DJ, half performer. It is a perfect set to get your sunshine groove on for the day ahead and fans of world dance, Afrohouse and medicine music for the dancefloor will be at home here.

I first discovered Yemanjo through his 2024 album ‘La Misma Fuente’ which I’ll review later this year. In short, it’s great to get a sweat on to and covers multiple languages and cultures under the album’s title which roughly translates to “The Same Source”. For more info about Yemanjo, visit his Bandcamp.
