Mitski is coming to theatres with The Land

Following a similar strategy to Björk’s Cornucopia, Mitski has transformed her live tour into a live recording, and it is receiving a limited theatre release. Filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre last year, it captures Mitski’s recent tour performances. The setlist performed each night was the same, so here’s hoping that all 25 songs make the final cut. As the tour was promoting Mitski’s recent album ‘The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We’, 9 of the songs are from that album. Entries from previous albums make up the rest of the setlist.

‘The Land’ will be in theatres worldwide on Wednesday, 22nd October. Hopefully, Mitski will then follow Björk’s lead by releasing it for purchase on Blu-ray and DVD afterwards. For tickets and more information, visit Mitski Film.
