Celebrating her first performance in Australia in nearly 15 years, Beth Gibbons (vocalist for Portishead) returned to Australia with style. Her concert at the Sydney Opera House is a symphonic folk-rock tour de force. Beth’s emotive vocals, combined with a rich arrangement of instruments, produce a fantastic show. The performance focuses on Beth Gibbons’ latest album, ‘Lives Outgrown’, which came out last year. I haven’t had the chance to pick up the album yet, so hearing it live first is an unusual experience for me. I’m looking forward to diving in.
For more information about Beth Gibbons, her tour dates, and hopefully future releases that aren’t quite as spaced out as her back catalogue, visit Beth’s website.
