It’s the second mixtape of 2026 as I celebrate some of my favourite music released in 2026. Just like Side A, released two weeks ago, this is an eclectic mixtape. It starts off in the heavy electronic and industrial beat world before transitioning into indie folk, folktronica, then into heavy rock before rounding off in an ethereal otherworldly place of renewal. You might not like everything, as this mixtape hops genres with giant strides, but you won’t be bored!
Artists include Patrick Wolf, Devours, Rapt, Ichiko Aoba, tunng, and Anxious. The goal of these mixtapes is to put human curators back in charge of playlisting by making daring and unconventional choices. As always, no generative AI or algorithmic selection was used. Enjoy this 19-track mixtape.
